Talk and Activity Proposal Submissions
We are now open for submissions!
Do you have something you wish to present at EuroPython? Perhaps you have a new application, framework or package to show off. Or perhaps you want to show people how to solve a particular kind of problem, or to describe your experiences working with different Python-oriented solutions. Maybe you've been inspired by one or more of the talk suggestions. Here's how you can propose a talk for EuroPython:
Choose a Theme
See the list of themes! If none of these are directly related to your proposal, don't be put off: we will always make space for a really interesting Python-related talk.
Decide on a Talk Format
We would prefer talks to be...
- Either 30 minutes in length (including time for some questions)
- Or 45 minutes in length with 15 minutes of questions and discussion
If you wish to suggest an activity which does not fit within these parameters, please state your case in your submission! Here are some anticipated activities:
- Tutorials - where you teach others about your area of expertise
- Panel discussions - where you and others discuss a subject and inform the audience
- Teach the presenter - where you learn from an audience of experts (and perhaps a few other beginners, too)
If you can think of another idea which may be interesting to other participants, don't be afraid to make a proposal!
Submitting the Talk
Either send an e-mail to <europython-talks AT python DOT org> containing the following information:
- A title
- The target audience: beginner, expert or intermediate
- A theme (see above)
- The talk format (see above)
- A summary describing the talk
Whether you do not want your talk to be recorded and the recording (audio/video) distributed
Or fill out the form here (which makes the submission go to the right place)
In addition, you may add some notes in order to help reviewers, perhaps describing your background or experience with the subject of the talk.
Important
Please read the audio and video recording policy before submitting your talk. See the audio and video page for details.
Deadline
The extended deadline for talk proposals is now Monday 2nd June at midnight (24:00 CEST, Central European Summer Time, UTC+2).
